Job Specification

The supply of lighting for 1.2km of a walkway around two GAA pitches. This was to be cost effective but also to be completed in a sustainable manner.

To complete this job, Econ Solar Solutions provided two potential options:  

​

Option 1:

The solar panel and light are separate, with a 3m cable which allows for South Facing, to direct the panel towards natural light, this is also the cheaper option with a 2 year warranty.

- 45 x Integrated Solar Street Light 200 watt. 

- These would be positioned at a 4m height.

- Bracketed to a steel pole at 20 metre intervals around the walkway.

Option 2:

This option has larger battery capability, it is round mounted 2 inch for easy install for 2 inch pole, this light comes with a 3 year warranty. - Emo GAA chose option 1: 45 x Integrated Solar Street Light 200 wat

- 44 x Integrated Street Light 60 watt.

- These would be positioned at a 4m height.

- Bracketed to a steel pole at 25 metre intervals around the walkway.

On choosing option 1, the lights were immediately delivered and fitted by EMO GAA.

 

Costings (job specific):

Option 1: Lights/Brackets/Steel provided for €18,000.

 

Option 2: Lights/Brackets/Steel provided for €20,020.
